Jennie+Andrew

I met Jennie and Andrew through rock climbing, and when I heard they were engaged, I was so excited for them. It is such an honor to shoot a wedding in which the bride and groom openly shares a common passion. They are two of the strongest climbers in Austin, and there’s no doubt that their marriage will reflect the same dedication and love they commit to their sport. Not to mention they are just plain awesome! Jennie’s sense of humor kills me and Andrew is probably the nicest guy on earth (I am not kidding.) It’s so hard not to love these two!

They celebrated with friends and family at Red Corral Ranch, which is slowly becoming one of my favorite venues. What’s not to love about a ceremony-in-the round at a labyrinth, and a hayride to a huge party in a big red barn?

Here’s a sneek peek at all the fun. Congrats Jennie and Andrew!

Christina+Greg

Christina and Greg are two of the most dedicated triathletes I know. So much so, that Chris was spotted at the gym bright and early at 8 am on her wedding day! (She just qualified for the Ironman World Championship in Clearwater, FL – check out her blog to read about her most eventful week ever)  It just proves that they stay true to the things that are important to them. It showed in all of the details of their wedding – from the groomsmen’s Converse sneakers to the Chinese elements tied into their reception. They even entertained their guests with a dragon dance performance! Lyndsay at Nature’s Point was super helpful as always, and Byrne Rock rocked the house (I love his website – the header reads “The Ultimate Badass DJ of the World” LOL!) Flowers: Petals Ink, Cake: Tiffany Braymen, Officiant: Raul Gonzalez.

Congrats Chris and Greg!

Robyn+Ricky

What a weekend! This crazy central Texas weather could not stop Robyn and Ricky’s  amazing outdoor wedding. They had the event on Robyn’s family property in Cedar Park. For a wedding with a 300-person guestlist, it was amazingly organized thanks to Robyn’s awesome family as well as Robyn’s coordinator, Aaron Mabry. The lovely Kat Edmonson graced everyone with her spectacular voice during the reception, which was a special treat for me, since I recently discovered her music and have been blasting it on our speakers at home.  The rain subsided towards the end of the night, and Robyn surprised everyone with a fireworks show! Congrats Robyn and Ricky.

Stacy+Greg Vintage Polaroids

Stacy and Greg had the brilliant idea of having a “Vintage Texas” themed wedding at Barr Mansion. They knew I had an antique camera and I absolutely loved the fact that they asked me to do a vintage Polaroid booth. I have two cameras actually (neither of which worked correctly when I got them) but after many hours of tinkering, soldering, experimenting, and burning through packs of film, I finally got them to work the way I wanted them to.

Congrats Stacy and Greg!

Christen+Merrick

Merrick and Christen were married at beautiful Nature’s Point in Lago Vista. This was the biggest wedding this season for me,  partly because it is the last big job before David’s and my world tour (check out our travel blog) and partly because it was a fellow photographer’s wedding (check out Merrick’s commercial work) which made me super nervous. Overall, I just REALLY wanted to do a good job. They are an awesome couple and I just wanted to give them the best of what I had to offer. After all the planning, logistics, worrying about the weather, etc., it turned out better than I could have ever hoped. Not to mention they threw a kick ass party for their awesome family and friends. Check it out:
