Liz+Family

Liz, her husband Patrick, and their super cute little boy, Benjamin visited from France, partly for business and partly to visit family and friends. Our mutual friends (and my very good friends), Jenny and Jeremy, have a super duper cute baby boy of their own, Reid. We had a great time with the little ones!

Alex

Alex did what I wish many more women would do: get professional portraits done…just because. You don’t have to wait for a formal occassion or event, no reason at all other than wanting something special and tangible to hold so you can look back and say… “Wow! I’m hot and my tattoo rocks!!” LOL. It was really fun shooting in the studio as well as out and about with her boyfriend, Chris, and their two crazy dogs, Chili and Moxie. Thanks for a fun day! You look amazing!

Anne

Anne asked me to shoot some portraits of her to support her blog and her new book, Conversation and Community! It was a really hot day but managed to get a few fun shots over at the Domain. (I can’t wait until the new Whole Foods and a pavilion/park opens. I will be able to ride my bike there!)

Friends from Belgium

One organization that added another dimension to our travels was an organization called Couchsurfing.org. It’s  a worldwide network for making connections between travelers and the local communities they visit. We have met several people along the way who have shown us amazing hospitality and who have given us local insights on food, politics, and culture.

When we returned from our trip, we thought it was our turn and decided to pay it forward by hosting Couchsurfers from Belgium. Nicolas and Wendy, along with their American friend Josh, were taking a classic American road trip from Atlanta to San Fransisco!! They stopped through Austin and got a little taste of Texas, and even left with cowboy hats and boots. ;)

We were joined by a a few friends :)
